ATG2 Day 4 - A Pony on a Rescue Mission
I was originally going to do medic Fluttershy healing Applejack on one of any number of cards with an angel healing wounded soldiers. But I really wanted to work Shimmer in there somehow. Then I remembered the Baloth Cage Trap.
Things I've learned today:
1) Never try painting a pony to-scale on a card with anything bigger than a 2/2. Or at least a combined Power/Toughness of 4. Seriously, those ponies are freaking tiny and it was a massive pain trying to get them right.
2) Don't seal the paint until AFTER I've taken a picture of the card. I've been doing it that way for the last few cards, but decided to try putting on the sealer first this time. I thought it would reduce any glare that shows up on the unpainted parts of the card. Instead it ended up causing every picture, with or without flash, to have half the card covered in glare. Whoops.
